Henry Bibby

Henry Bibby has accomplished just about as much as you can accomplish in the game of basketball.

As a starting point guard for UCLA he led the Bruins to 3 National Championships and played under the coach who many people see as the best this profession has ever seen – John Wooden.

After his time at UCLA he was drafted into the NBA by the New York Knicks and won and NBA title with them in 1973.

Henry started his coaching career in the CBA and won two championships during his time there. In 1996 he was named the head coach of the USC Trojans men’s program and held that title for 9 seasons. During 3 of those seasons his team made NCAA tournament appearances and got all the way to the “Elite Eight” in 2001.

In 2005 he was named the head Coach of the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks. In 2006 he was an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers.

He is the father of current NBA player Mike Bibby (Atlanta Hawks) and is current an assistant coach with the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies.
