Adrian Dantley

Very few people can be described as a basketball legend. Adrian Dantley is one of the few. He played in the NBA for 15 seasons and was an All-Star during 6 of those seasons. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008.

In high school Adrian played under legendary coach Morgan Wooten and then went on to play at Notre Dame where he led the team in scoring and rebounding. He was a first-team All-American multiple years and the 1976 National College Player of the Year. He’s currently second on the Irish all-time scoring list and holds the school record for free throws made.

From there, in 1976, he went on to lead the United States Olympic team in scoring as they went on to win a gold medal. He was awarded the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1977, and went on to have a very prolific career in the NBA. While in the NBA, he led the league in scoring twice.

He has a reputation for being an amazing post player and at just 6′ 5″ he was always matched up against bigger players who he usually dominated.
